We are marking Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2020 with 31 of the many special women and men who come through the doors in some
capacity here at the Worcestershire Breast Unit.
Today, we hear from Fiona Charny, WBUH Charity Chair
“I have supported the charity right from the start when we were raising the money for the new unit. Every one of us knows someone who has had breast cancer and I have watched several friends as they have been through surgery, chemotherapy and radiotherapy. I was determined to help set up Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven to provide all the extra services for our patients over and above those that the NHS can provide. We seem to be going to strength to strength despite the pandemic, with a wonderful team and many dedicated and loyal supporters. I really think we make a difference to patients in Worcestershire which makes it all worth while!”
