“We are delighted to be working with Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust on running a Breast Cancer Haven service every Thursday from 9:30am to 4:30pm. The service is available from a brand new state-of-the-art breast unit at The Worcestershire Royal Hospital where our counsellors, therapists and health professionals offer you the support you need to help you with your own personal challenges of living with breast cancer.
The funding that we have received to run this service restricts us to offering a maximum of six supportive therapies for each person and includes:
– Appointments with a breast care nurse
– Emotional support
– Supportive therapies
– Healthy eating advice
– Lymphoedema support
This differs from our standard offering of seven one-to-one appointments and a larger range of therapies which are available at our other centres. For those using our Worcester service, further help can be accessed from the nearest Breast Cancer Haven which is located in Hereford.
