Breast Unit Talk – Nursing in WW1

March 8, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

£5.00

Come and celebrate International Womens Day with us at the Breast Unit!

We’re kicking off the first of our Breast Unit Inspirational Talks on International Womens Day with a talk about Nursing in World War 1.

“Nursing in World War One was exhausting, often dangerous work and the women who volunteered experienced the horror of war firsthand, some paying the ultimate price. But their story is surrounded by myth and their full contribution often goes unrecognised” – www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-26838077

We will be joined by local speaker Sandra Taylor, a fieldworker for the National Inventory of War Memorials in Worcestershire. She is a very knowledgeable and interesting speaker and we look forward to welcoming her.
