Thank you hugely to everyone who has offered to sew heart cushions for us. We really do appreciate it.
The cushions really help post-surgery especially in the car or when sleeping. We offer them to all patients who have breast surgery and demand can be as high as 30 per month. We do have feedback from patients who are incredibly grateful.
A pattern is attached here which is hand-drawn & sized to get onto one side of A4.
The top of the heart is rounded & from feedback this is the best shape. However, any small difference in size do not really matter – especially if you are trying to use up remnants Just imagine the finished heart tucked under your arm-pit – is it comfortable & soft? Too much stuffing can be hard. Fronts & backs do not need to be the same fabric. Cushions can be dropped off at the Unit.

Unstuffed hearts can be posted & we can find a volunteer to stuff them. If anyone lives in the Pershore area, the lady who owns the Fabrik Shop is offering a discount to anyone who buys fabric for the hearts from her.
